Apex Tool Group's York, PA facility has an opportunity for a 3rd shift Electro Mechanical Technician responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of machines and equipment. Previous working experience in an industrial environment is required.

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Repair and maintain production machinery and facility systems in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturers' specifications, or supervisor's instructions, using appropriate tools or required measuring/testing devices.
- Follow standard work methods as well as electrical and maintenance procedures using the tools of several trades to perform skilled duties such as routine electrical work, carpentry work, millwright duties, and masonry work.
- Complete basic fabrication and repair of equipment, including arc welding and torch cutting.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure machinery is in good, safe working order.
- Install conduit, electrical wiring, air/water/hydraulic piping, or any additional systems required for proper machine installation under direction of engineering or supervision.
- Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and diagrams to install machinery properly and safely.
- Plan the work in cooperation with supervision and engineering.
- Aid in design and installation of new equipment, as needed.
- Direct the activities of assigned help.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.
- Report unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
- Obey all safety rules and regulations.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Maintain records as required.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED required as well as advanced training in Electro-Mechanical Maintenance
- Minimum of 3 years' related work experience.
- Working knowledge of 460v, 3-phase power and equipment and understanding of NFPA 70E.
- Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) including Saturdays as required.
- Stand and walk continuously for 8 hours, if necessary.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Able to operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment.
