Apex Tool Group's York distribution center is looking for an experienced supervisor to oversee the day-to-day functions. The supervisor works closely with the manufacturing facility’s on-site leadership and collaborates with support functions to deliver products on time.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Analyze workload and ensure the staffing plan supports demand.
  • Coordinate the daily activities of all warehouse personnel and provide supervision to meet productivity standards.
  • Manage customer order fulfillment standards, meeting domestic and international on-time shipments, unit fill-rate, and shipping orders.
  • Analyze employees’ performance relative to unit picks per hour and overall efficiencies and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset within the facility and collaborate with central resources to improve process flow within the warehouse.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through applying effective audit activities and 5S initiatives.
  • Supervise hourly employees, providing coaching and development, resolving issues, and tracking timekeeping and absenteeism.
  • Make recommendations for changes in staffing as necessary to meet demands of workload.
  • Enforce and maintain safety policies and procedures to comply with laws and regulations and minimize accidents and injuries; assist with company safety programs. 

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ Years of supervisory or lead experience in distribution center/warehouse.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Manhattan WMS and SAP software.
