CNC Machine Operator 3rd Shift

The Blueprint (Role Profile)

The CNC Machine Operator runs CNC mills and lathes in the production of the Campbell Chain brand of product. This is a 3rd shift position, working 4 days a week and 10 hours a day Sunday through Wednesday 9 PM to 7 AM daily. Training will be on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday 6 AM to 4 PM.

The Build (Responsibilities)

• Proficiently sets up, operates, and changes over CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiently trouble shoots and resolves mechanical and quality issues.
• Proficiently operates the required number of machines for the designated work area.
• Makes proper adjustments to machines to run efficiently and to maintain high quality, including using hand tools, gauges, and visual checks.
• Cross-trained to operate numerous pieces of equipment and sometimes trains peers in specific production areas.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment when required.
• Moves material to and from work area.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service, including reporting non-conforming materials.
• Reports unusual conditions or questionable items to team lead or supervisor.
• Adheres to all safety rules and regulations.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Maintains accurate records as required.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by team lead or supervisor.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years' previous experience operating CNC machines.
• Mechanical abilities and aptitude required.
• Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as required, including Fridays as needed.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch continuously.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
