The R&D Program Manager leads cross-functional product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and innovation goals while maintaining compliance and quality standards. This role drives accountability, fosters collaboration, and delivers results through structured project management and proactive change leadership. This position will be based in our Lexington, SC office.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Define and manage key project constraints such as scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks.
  • Ensure robust requirements management throughout the project lifecycle, including clear documentation, traceability, and proactive change management to embed this process within the organization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact regarding projects.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Effectively communicate project status and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with global and domestic partners to foster collaboration and trust.
  • Drive accountability and empower team members to achieve project objectives within defined timelines.
     

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electronics or mechatronics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in new product development and project leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in culturally diverse teams.
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI) is an advantage.
