A key leader in the Marketing team, the Director, Product Management is responsible for the overall strategy and development of product definition, positioning, pricing, and product lifecycle management to include market sensing, leading the product management function, pricing, customer communications, product support, and revenue forecasts. Primary responsibilities include building category leadership and brand equity through distribution/penetration expansion, increased user demand, and driving revenue and profitability. The Director, Product Management is an expert in the market, category and user and leads a cross-functional team to deliver category strategy, innovation and portfolio plans.

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Manages the product management team by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
- Recommends changes to strategies and priorities based on external data and trends, including macroeconomic data, market and category trends, competitive information, customer insights, as well as formal and informal research.
- Formulates category long-term vision, strategies, and 3–5-year financial targets as it relates to brand, category and channel strategy.
- Develops global product portfolio plan that defines product lines to enter, exit and maintain based on insights, analytics and trends.
- Recommends global and regional pricing strategies, including promotional depth and frequency guardrails for category.
- Partners with Channel Management on annual trade plans and financial targets. Ensures alignment with category plans and priorities.
- Partners with Brand Activation on annual situation assessment and development of integrated marketing plan. Recommends category priorities, A&P budget and activation tactics to deliver category priorities and financial targets.
- Works with Finance to develop annual base and stretch revenue, gross margin, and OI targets for category.
- Oversees execution of SKU rationalization process to deliver SKU reduction targets.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Four-year college degree is required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of marketing and product management experience with consumer goods, durable, or professional products companies.
- Ability to collaborate globally, while influencing and informing others across the org, effectively building strong organizational relationships.
- Demonstrated success in translating brand and category objectives into strategies and plans.
- Experience managing a P&L, including forecasting sales, and reducing costs and inventories.
- Demonstrated results with several new products launches, from concept through commercialization and in-market success of a product portfolio.
