Apex Tool Group is currently looking for an Associate Brand Activation Manager based in Lexington, SC. The Associate Brand Activation Manager supports the delivery of brand strategies and priorities. They manage assignments to meet objectives under the guidance of a manager. Primary responsibilities at this level include working in cross-functional teams, managing projects, performing business analyses, tracking, and supporting the overall marketing and management of the brand.
The person in this position can expect to work with the Sr. Channel Manager, Sr. Director, Marketing & R&D, Global SBU lead Weller, Sales Leaders, and NAMS, and will report directly to the Director of Sales, NA Weller. This role will develop and promote brand growth and programs, primarily focusing on Weller Red, with some emphasis on Weller Blue products.

The Build (Responsibilities)

Contribute to the development and execution of brand strategies, annual marketing plans, and activation priorities.

Communicate effectively across functions to build brand alignment.

Analyze brand, market, and customer data to generate insights that inform strategy, product roadmaps, pricing, and promotional guardrails.

Apply analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail; present findings and recommendations confidently in public forums.

Provide input on brand positioning, communication objectives, and creative development to ensure messaging supports equity goals.

Develop and manage brand assets and content, applying visual identity and communication guidelines across digital, social, PR, influencers, sponsorships, and selling materials.

Support new product launches, trade programs, and activation initiatives to drive awareness, trial, and customer engagement.

Attend trade shows, managing projects to ensure successful execution and strong ROI.

Participate in customer meetings to provide marketing support and strategy alignment.

Work closely with Sr. Channel and Product Management to strengthen brand presence and execution.

Track and evaluate marketing performance, campaign ROI, and key brand metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.

Mentor interns and early-career talent while continuing to build personal brand and business capabilities through training and development.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Four-year college/university degree; potentially a recent MBA graduate with previous business experience.
- 2+ years of marketing and/or sales/channel experience with consumer goods, durable, or professional products companies.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing platforms and tactics.
- Has worked to successfully build awareness and drive trial of new products.
- Experience creating assets to support brand communication objectives.
- Proven capability to manage and develop a team.
