The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Opportunity for 2nd shift Production Supervisor in our Jonesboro, AR facility. Reponsible for planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recomminding production improvements. Accountable for department performance in manufacturing a quality product at the lowest operating cost with on-time delivery. The hours for 2nd shift are Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm - 3:00pm.

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Drive departmental manufacturing activities and quality improvement processes.
- Maintain daily responsibility for manufacturing, scheduling, quality control, safety, and preventative maintenance within assigned cost centers.
- Provide supervision and direction to all leads ensuring productivity.
- Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality, and maintenance that may result in production delays.
- Actively evaluate performance against goals and take corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with quality policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication with associates.
- Communicate plant policies and procedures and ensure adherence while maintaining associate morale.
- Make recommendations for changes in staffing as necessary to meet demands of workload.
- Enforce and maintain safety policies and procedures to comply with laws and regulations and minimize accidents and injuries; assist with company safety programs.
- Promote continuous improvement and associate engagement.
- Ensure all associates are properly trained and coordinate departmental cross training requirements and opportunities.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in operations management or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years’ supervisory experience in lean manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical background in mechanical disciplines.
- Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated supervisory leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Work on shop floor.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the facility.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous SAP experience.
- Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- One piece flow experience is a plus.
