The Blueprint (Role Profile)

Reporting to the Manager this position will actively support the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, and KPI tracking for the Global Power Tools business unit.  The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key business partner, providing financial guidance and strategic insights to the Sales and Marketing teams. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, profitability, and growth by analyzing financial data, managing budgets, and developing forecasting models. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations. This position will be based in Huntersville, NC.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Lead and analyze the customer and brand P&Ls to monitor performance and guide business decisions.
  • Provide support to the business during the monthly close, quarterly forecast, annual budget and reporting processes.
  • Provide detailed analysis of gross-to-net sales, including volume/mix and rate variances.
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing and promotional spend, including return on investment (ROI) analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and business investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies for mitigation or growth.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed. 

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), industry experience a plus, preferably within the consumer goods or a related industry.
  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge required.
  • Working knowledge of corporate financial planning and reporting processes required
  • Hyperion Planning & Essbase Experience preferred, super-user experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (strong emphasis on Excel) required
  • ERP experience preferred (SAP strongly preferred)
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of financial reports using analytic applications or other source databases a plus
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies for mitigation or growth.
