The Blueprint (Role Profile)

The Associate Channel Marketing Manager supports the Senior Manager, Channel Management, by creating and executing high-impact marketing programs with respective customers or channels. This position is responsible for creating and executing effective product launches, winning and protecting listings in line reviews, securing new promotional business, and may also be integral to the development of new products that will be sold. The position’s responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting sales/profit, customer, consumer and competitive data to support daily decision-making as well as product planning. This position will support the retail and hardware channels and be a key parter to sales, external agencies, and product management teams helping to drive significant business growth.

The Build (Responsibilities)

•    Create and drive marketing programs to meet strategic growth objectives and to grow sales among customers (via push programs) and end-users (via pull programs).
•    Monitor/track and analyze the effectiveness of programs to support reporting, course corrections and decision-making.
•    Coordinate with product teams to identify relevant VOC and to successfully target new products and programs to meet end-user needs.
•    Work closely with product teams to effectively launch new products and product promotions.
•    Actively seek out and understand customer and end-use consumer VOC through regular customer contact.
•    Work closely with sales to customize programs to meet the needs of key customers.
•    Track and maintain spending within approved promotional budgets.
•    Support and attend retail and hardware focused trade shows.
•    Drive key business opportunity projects as assigned.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration preferred.
•    2+  marketing experience.
•    Experience in initiating and building mutually beneficial marketing relationships with third parties and or external partners is a plus.
•    Proven ability to deliver data-driven results, analysis, testing and application of findings.
•    Credibility to influence and impress at senior level and represent the company in all types of business situations.
•    Excellent presenter (internal staff meetings, customer meetings, etc) with strong written and oral communication skills (emails, flyers, conference calls, etc)
•    Selling or customer contact; experience with distribution.
•    End user work and new product introduction experience.
•    Strategic planning experience.
•    Cross-functional team management.
•    Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); database skills a plus.
•    Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
•    Very hands-on – able to dive into and manage the details, as well as provide overall strategic thinking and leadership.
•    Ability to travel (~20%)
