The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Working remotely and reporting to the Customs Compliance Manager – North America, this position is responsible for promoting compliance with the international trade regulations on of the United States and Canada. The Sr. Analyst serves as the first escalation point for internal and external customers and vendors (including customs brokers) regarding daily issues that arise with ATG’s import and export activities; lead the maintenance of the systems utilized by ATG in promoting compliance (including: SAP GTS (Global Trade Solutions) software), the Tariff Classification Database and the USMCA Eligibility Database. The Sr. Analyst is also accountable for identifying compliance issues that may create a risk for the company and proposing a suitable solution to the Manager, as appropriate. The Sr. Analyst must assess, communicate, and ensure compliance without material disruption to the business when possible and will be privy to confidential information and must work within the scope of Attorney/Client Privilege as necessary.

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Act as first point of escalation for daily US and Canadian customs broker inquiries in relation to both import and export operations.
- Classify products using the US and Canadian import tariffs.
- Monitor and promote timely Import Security Filing (ISF).
- Audit ATG parts databases for accuracy of COO and Classifications.
- Audits Customs entries for the US and Canada
- Review quantity discrepancies and adjust Customs entries as needed.
- Lead data gathering and analysis for Duty Drawback.
- Prepare broker evaluation scorecards and lead quarterly broker reviews.
- Maintain Sanctioned Party Lists in SAP GTS.
- Work with Customs Brokers on the completion of Post Summary Corrections
- Assist on special projects as needed.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (may consider 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree), Customs Broker License a plus.
- Experience with customs brokerage or freight forwarding, HTS classification, valuation, free trade agreements and/or origin marking a plus.
- 5+ years related Export/Import Logistics and/or Customs Compliance strongly preferred.
- The Sr. Analyst must be able to work independently, perform under pressure, multi-task with tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills required.
- Proven analytical skills and demonstrated track record of translating analysis into process solutions.
- Strong problem solving skills essential.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required; SAP skills beneficial.
