The Merchandising Manager is focused on developing and deploying merchandising systems for Crescent and GEARWRENCH brands. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Channel Marketing, this role is the at center of the division’s efforts to accelerate our depth and breadth of penetration in focus channels and ensure best-in-class showroom visibility. Partnering cross-functionally, this role creates the programs and materials that showcase the brand at the point of sale.

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Coordinates with sales and channel teams to refine sell-in programs to increase the depth and breadth of penetration in target channels (updated/reviewed annually)
- Actively reviews competitive merchandising trends and continuously improves the merchandising program
- Identifies cost reduction and simplification opportunities by working closely with purchasing and supply chain on merchandising collateral
- Owns forecasting and inventory of merchandising components
- Serve as thought leader for division in merchandising by identifying industry and competitive trends in merchandising
- Order process monitoring – creating/updating Excel order forms and monitoring processing times with the customer service team
- Assortment analysis- monitor sales and industry trends and adjust assortment where needed
- Works with the product marketing team to maintain current records for product modules and update programs for new product launches
- Works with outside vendors to maintain the best cost merchandising elements
- Maintains updated images and assortment for all modules in Crescent and GEARWRENCH portfolio
- Maintains merchandising catalog and updates when product, packaging, or signing are changing (January and June)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Merchandising Room
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration.
- Three to five years relevant experience in sales, channel, or marketing in a distributed branded company
- Proven project management skills and end-to-end project ownership
- Ability to influence and represent the company in all types of business situations.
- Excellent presenter (internal staff meetings, customer meetings, etc) with strong written and oral communication skills (emails, flyers, conference calls, etc)
- Selling or customer contact experience preferred, experience with distribution preferred.
- Cross-functional team management.
- Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); database skills a plus.
- Hands-on – able to dive into and manage the details, as well as provide overall strategic thinking and leadership.
- Ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to incorporate data-driven insights into programs
- Strong bias for action, urgency
